Breaking free/taking back your self worth

This goes out to all the souls who weren’t permitted to just be themselves wether it was due to family tradition, abuse, abandonment, or any other reason. May you see that there is still time to let your true essence shine!

You learned your role You learned to play the role you were told to play. It was a role you really had to play to survive. You did it to self preserve and it was what was best for you in that time. But things have changed dear one, and now there aren’t any scripts set in place to save your life… Now that script will destroy YOU. Cut the chords and throw out the script You are free but you still think you are the puppet on that stage with lines to spew and stringed dances to perform. The danger is over now! Cut the chords! Throw the script to the dusty floor! You have a heart in your chest! You have a body that feels! Life isn’t only in the mind! You can break free! Live into your life! Be your true self! Speak, let your vocal chords take the maiden flight! Open your mouth and let them sing! Some don’t like the truth and they may fall away, but sing on dear heart, sing on! Some will see your light and come in to squelch it but you aren’t a child any more so comfort the childish parts and fly on. Others will be drawn to this authentic you because they are authentic too and your life will be richer and fuller than it ever has been before. Pangs of new birth You will laugh and that laugh will finally reach your soul and burst into the glorious pangs of the birth of your own joy. You may see all the worst you feared come to pass, but after that storm you will be free at last. You will see that the outer shell of the seed was there for a reason but the reason is no more. The true you will burst forth like a new plant and squirm up to the sun. You will flower into your becoming that never ends. There is always more to ponder and sometimes you will find the answers, but most of all you will grow to love the questions. You will live and breathe your becoming and in living fully in each moment you will find the deepest life you were meant to lead. A whole new you The new you won't focus on approval from others, but will be in tune to self and value self approval above all. The new you won't see yourself as less than others, but will know that you matter just as much as anyone else and your voice has an important place in this world. The new you won't worry about being enough. You will know your own worth and value. The new you won't imagine you deserve harsh judgement from others, but will assume the best in others until proven wrong. If there is a problem with another person you will know that it comes from a place of hurt or wounding and you will be compassionate with them and not blame yourself. The new you will realize that self love is not a low priority, but actually one of the most important gifts you can give yourself and impacts the quality of every area of life. The new you won't avoid conflict at all cost, but will boldly and directly speak the truth knowing that this is the way that two whole people truly come together in meaningful and honest relating. The new you won't just go with the flow, but will stand up for your beliefs and become a game changer for the positive in your community and world.
